I can still remember the first time I saw this game, nearly fifteen years ago - it was completely unlike anything I'd seen before. Incredible graphics, Brilliant music, forks in the road...the list of innovations is endless. Racing games have come and gone over the years, but if you want to see the master of them all, the one that had huge crowds of kids (myself included) fighting for a chance to play it, look to Outrun.

Years ahead of their time. The detail of the trackside objects and sensation of speed was superb and at times, breathtaking. Still looks good today. Magical Sound Shower? Nothing less than a work of art. As close to perfection as arcade racers get. The time limits are tight but never unfair, the desire to see the next stage is huge. The multiple routes mean repeat play is a must. If you haven't played Outrun, you haven't lived! For years nothing could touch it; for many, nothing still can. An absolute masterpiece and one of the finest games ever created.
