PC Kid
This was it, this was the game that forced me to buy a PC Engine on import (it was never released here in the UK). It cost me a fortune and was worth every single penny. Within a few short weeks I was the most popular kid on the street and became an expert at the finest, most tightly-crafted shoot-em-up ever created.

Superb. Colourful, sharp and smooth, as close to arcade perfection as anyone could possibly expect. Again, incredibly faithful to the arcade original. Look, it's R-type, okay? If you don't know how good this baby plays you probably shouldn't be here! Incredible. 'Arcade Perfect' is an over-used term in the games industry, but for once it's well deserved. The ultimate conversion of the ultimate shooter.
